Who is responsible for your data

What we collect

Two sets of data, both for concrete reasons.

1. What you write in the contact form

When you fill in the form we collect your name, email, company (if you give one) and message. These reach us by email, at info@magicskills.pt, and are used only to reply to you and follow up on what you raised.

Legal basis: your interest in being contacted and ours in replying — pre-contractual steps taken at your request.

How long: we keep the email exchange while the conversation is relevant and for up to three years after the last contact. You can ask us to delete it sooner.

2. How you use the site

We use Google Analytics 4 (ID G-ZRRD92SPB4) to understand which pages get read, where visits come from, and what works on the site. It collects information about your device, browser, approximate location and the pages you view.

Google Analytics uses cookies and handles your IP address in anonymised form. The data is processed by Google Ireland Limited and may be transferred outside the European Economic Area under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site.

How long: aggregated data is retained in Google Analytics for 14 months.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent your data to anyone
• We do not send newsletters or marketing from this site
• We do not use social media pixels or tracking advertising
• We do not build automated profiles that produce decisions about you

Cookies

The only cookies on this site are Google Analytics', described above. There are no advertising or social media cookies.

You can block them in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on ↗. The site works exactly the same either way.

Who we share with

Three parties, all acting as processors and only to the extent the site needs them:

• Hostinger — site hosting and sending the form email
• Google Ireland Limited — Google Analytics
• Our email provider — receiving the form messages

Beyond this, we do not share personal data with third parties.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can, at any time:

• Ask for a copy of the data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
• Ask us to delete your data
• Object to processing based on legitimate interest
• Ask us to restrict processing
• Receive your data in a format you can take elsewhere

Just write to info@magicskills.pt. We reply within 30 days.

If you believe we have not handled it properly, you can complain to the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD) ↗.

Changes to this policy

If what we do with data changes, we update this page and the date at the top. Worth checking back now and then.
